In spite of how it may appear in the picture, I really had a productive quilt market. The vendors go out of their way to decorate their booths and make it fun for the Market attendees and it’s great to go just to witness their creativity. I met with several fabric vendors and ordered over 30 bolts of fabric. One of the vendors is a new one for me, so I’m looking forward to adding to my fabric choices for my t-shirt quilt customers. I also made an investment in software and a special printer for printing photos (as well as other things) on fabric. I’ll tell you more about it later after it is delivered and I have had time to play with it. Suffice it to say, it will improve the quality of photos that I print on fabric to include in quilts. In a couple of days, I’ll be heading to the Houston International Quilt Festival to see all the amazing quilts on display as well as the retail vendors. I’ll probably come home tired, but I’ll also come home inspired and looking forward to working on customer quilts. By the way, don’t forget to order soon if you would like a t-shirt quilt to give as a Christmas gift.
