Quilt Market was exciting for several reasons, but one of the best ones was the release of Red Crinoline Quilt’s new book Tributes and Treasures. Paula Barnes and Mary Ellen Robison are the authors, designers and makers of the quilts in the book, but I was privileged to have quilted several of the quilts including the one on the cover. I started quilting for Paula and Mary Ellen before they started their business as Bonnie Blue Quilts. They have published numerous patterns and are always gracious to give credit to the quilters. They have had several quilts in magazines, some even on the cover, that I had the pleasure of quilting. Paula and Mary Ellen changed their business name to Red Crinoline Quilts a few years ago and they have made a name for themselves in the quilting world. Paula designs fabrics and patterns using reproduction Civil War fabrics and Mary Ellen tests the patterns and does the piecing. Their work is always outstanding and I am honored that they allow me to quilt for them.
