As I’ve mentioned before, I’m very fortunate to be able to do what I love as a business. And one of the best things about this t-shirt quilt business is being able to go to quilting conferences and be with “my people”. Three longarm quilting friends and I are heading to New Hampshire on Tuesday to attend Machine Quilters Exposition. MQX, as it is more commonly called, is a quilt show and conference that is geared to machine quilters whether they be longarm quilters or quilt on their regular sewing machines. All of the quilts in the show will be machine quilted and a lot of the vendors will be geared to machine quilters. There will be fabric vendors as well. As a matter of fact, I’ve already pre-ordered the gorgeous fabric in the photo from Dragonfly’s Quilt Shop. The owner posted a picture on Facebook of some of the fabric she is bringing and I fell in love with it and showed it to my sister who also HAS to have some. So I will be taking an extra suitcase to bring home 10 yards of dragonfly fabric and whatever other goodies I find at MQX. I will also be taking two days of longarm quilting classes. There is always something new to learn and I will come back inspired and refreshed and ready to get back to making t-shirt quilts.
