This is my favorite time of year. We just got back from a family reunion in Louisiana and the weather was perfect, the food was plentiful (too plentiful actually), and we got to enjoy time with aunts, uncles, cousins and grandkids. I didn’t take a quilt to auction off this year, but we’ve been asked to contribute something that we made ourselves for next year’s auction. Since the Louisiana State University game was on TV last night and quite a few relatives were rooting for LSU, my nine-year-old granddaughter came up with the idea of me making an LSU quilt. Young minds are brilliant, aren’t they? So that’s what I’ll do. I need to order an LSU T-shirt and I’ll make one of my Team Spirit quilts. It’s sure to be a hit with all those LSU fans in my family.
