Silent Auction Quilt for WHQG Show

The fall is my favorite time of year even though it has still felt like summer until the last day or so. It’s still in the eighties, but that’s cooler for us, so I’m happyDSCN0651edited about the improvement. October always gets me excited about the Houston International Quilt Market and Festival, but it’s also the time of year that I start thinking about quilts for my guild’s quilt show. The West Houston Quilter’s Guild show is held every other year and it is scheduled for March 3-4, 2017, at the Berry Center in Cypress, Texas. I’m hoping to start working on my challenge quilt soon and then I plan to make another quilt to put in the show if I can find the time. In the meantime, I’ve decided to donate one of my quilts for our quilt show silent auction. Our first silent auction was at our 2015 quilt show and apparently it was such a success that the committee has decided to do it again.  So I’m donating the pictured quilt in the hopes that it will make a little money for our guild’s numerous charitable endeavors.

Take a look at our Gallery to see examples of the T-Shirt Quilts as well as few of the many other quilts we have made.

I started making quilts as a child and have been quilting for others for over twenty years. Quilts that I have quilted have been featured in several quilting books and magazines.
